Vanadium Steel 1.4116
All the models that make up the Mountain Series are composed of a satin sheet designed with this type of chemical alloy, which is characterized by a perfect structural balance between carbon and chromium. This steel, designed by ThyssenKrupp, has a very fine grain that will generate a powerful and strong edge.
It also has properties in common with other level steels such as 420 and 440, so it will not rust in contact with corrosion produced by other ferrous elements. In addition, it has a good resistance to wear caused by prolonged use, as well as hostile environments (rain forests, high mountains or swamps).
Specifically, this type of steel is composed of 0.45% carbon, 1.5% chromium, 0.5% molybdenum, 1% manganese, 1% silicone and has a typical hardness of 55-58 HRC
Liner Lock Lock
The developers of Miguel Nieto have equipped this type of blade lock on this Mountain, which is probably the most widespread in the world of cutlery thanks to its spectacular performance. This technology allows to constantly work with the knife without any risk of cutting for the user.
This popular system consists of an internal metal plate that locks the blade against the spike by a pressure method. It does not require any maintenance and its main property lies in the ease of locking / unlocking action, so the user will reduce usage times to the maximum.
Drop Point blade style
