The Desert Tech HTI (Hard Target Interdiction) rifle is designed to be a large caliber rifle. With its signature bullpup setup, it takes the traditional length and size of standard 50 cal. rifles and shrinks it without compromising the full length of the barrel for optimum precision.
The Silverback HTI is a fully licensed version of this rifle. Not only does it faithfully replicate it in terms of size, fit and finish, but it also takes some of the "large diameter" designs and translates it into this soft air pistol. The weapon is a redesign to fit the large caliber design as it is not simply an "SRS system" but is redesigned to not only make the weapon fire and feel like a great sniper rifle, it also makes this is probably the first practical 50 cal. airsoft sniper rifle for use in games. The pistol features twice the air volume of a VSR-10 (35 cubic centimeters) which translates to increased muzzle velocity for your BB. In countries where the FPS is regulated to be lower, that means you can get much more consistent shots with a much more stable BB flight over longer distances. Finally, the HTI shares some similarities with the SRS. The jump up is the same and is compatible with both pistols. It uses the same quick-change barrel system, and its operation feels the same.
