Touken Rambu is a video game and anime series based on the idea that historical swords from Japan become human characters called Touken Danshi (Dancing Swords). The player assumes the role of a Saniwa, a powerful sage capable of giving life to swords, and must lead the Touken Danshi to protect history from the forces that want to alter it. The game has several modes, such as combat, forging, expedition, and chores, where the player can interact with the Touken Danshi, upgrade their skills and equipment, and send them on different missions. The game has over 70 Touken Danshi available, each with their own personality, design, voice, and historical background.

Ishikirimaru is one of the Touken Danshi that appears in Touken Ranbu. It is an Ootachi, a long, heavy sword that was used to cut down enemy cavalry. Its name means "Stone Cutter", and it is said that it was forged by the blacksmith Sanjou in the year 982. It is currently preserved in the Ishikiri-Tsurugiya Shrine, in Osaka, where it is venerated as a divine sword capable of cutting anything. . In the game, Ishikirimaru has the appearance of a tall, muscular man with white hair and red eyes. He wears a green robe and cap, and carries a black sword with a bat-wing design. His personality is calm and kind, but also somewhat naive and clueless. He is not used to fighting, as he has lived a long time in the sanctuary, and cares about the well-being of others. He has a good relationship with the other Ootachi, especially with Juzumaru Tsunetsugu, who is his younger brother.
