Oblivion from Kingdom Hearts is a keyblade sword that appears in several games in the series. It is a replica of the key sword used by Riku, one of the main characters, and symbolises his memories of Sora, his best friend. It is a black sword with a similar shape to the original sword key, but longer and with a bat-wing design and the kanji for darkness. It has great power, but reduces the wielder's maximum MP. Oblivion is often associated with memories that are fading or fading, such as when Sora reaches the top floors of Oblivion Castle, or when Roxas begins to forget Xion after his destruction.
